Anti Corrosion Coating

NovaFlo™ UV Prime Coat is a high-build, high-solids surface tolerant epoxy coating. Available with different hardeners for varying substrate temperatures, Standard (Std) and Fast Cure (FC).


The NovaFlo Prime Coat is suitable for and widely used to protect in agressive locations, materials such as:
  • Steel
  • Galvanised Steel
  • Aluminium
  • Concrete

Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. The surface should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504.

Bare steel:
Cleanliness: Blast-cleaning to Sa 2½ (ISO-8501-1:2007). Power tool cleaning to min. St 2 (ISO 8501-1:2007) may be acceptable, subject to exposure conditions.

Coated surfaces:
If applied on top of old coating systems the surface must be clean and dry.

Other surfaces:
For aluminium and galvanized surface; degreasing, light abrading or sand sweeping. Please contact Novafast for more information.

Application Data

Spray: Use airless sray

Brush
: Recommended for stripe coating and small areas, care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.

Roller May be used. However when using roller application care must be taken to apply sufficient material in order to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
